Di sekolah saya yang baru ini, saya berambisi untuk menjadi pusat perhatian. Sempat ada lomba menulis yang diadakan oleh salah satu universitas, dan saya pun optimis untuk mengikuti dan memenangkan lomba tersebut.
Isi dari tulisan itu adalah tentang merawat dan bagaimana menciptakan kota yang baik bagi diri kalian.
Inilah sedikit ulasan saya yang telah saya kumpulkan.

The Way I Take Care of My Town

            Okay, hello..my name is Andika Jati Nugroho, I go to SMAN 3 Semarang. I live in Indonesia, Semarang is my town. Semarang is the capital city of Central Java province. My town is so busy. Someday that makes traffic jam in a busy hour such as: at 07.00-09.00 am and at 05.00-06.00 pm. Because of those unconvenience things, I’d to write an articles to suggest my mayor how to control the town.

            First, I like green nature, so I want anyone who lives in Semarang to plant a tree around their house. Little thing makes a big thing, so start from ourselves. May scientist can help them to plant a tree. At least, there are many kinds of plant around their own house. If that happens, I am sure that tourism will be enjoying stay in Semarang. Green nature makes change:

-           It makes oxygen.

-         It will be good looking.

-         People can enjoy the weather by walk around whether morning, afternoon, and evening. Reduce vehicles is so important too.

Second, I want scientist to design the town. Maybe on the road, there is a garden beside the ways. I already went to Singapore and guess what? It is so green nature. The way from Changi to central town is full of trees. I really want to.

Third, reducing of vehicles is my mission. I know that structure of the road in Semarang is like a hill, but I hope they can join me to do that mission. Start from transportations. Government should add many transportations such as: mini bus and public transportation. In addition that, those transportations should be grant of a standard transportations in the world so passengers feel happy, safety, and cozy. And I want to government add halte. We need so many haltes in a town. At least within 1 kilometer, halte should be built there. It needs help from all people who lives in Semarang. Government should control the sales of vehicles. They mention the maximum of sales, so it can help to do my mission.

Fourth, maybe we should make more facilities in a town. I like reading, so I want to make a library in a town. Visitor can read a book in a library and FREE so they feel enjoy and happy. The library should be built in central town. And I need the place for youth to hang out with a friends. Maybe a skateboard park, bench, basketball field, soccer field, jogging track, velodrome track, and others.    

Fifth, on the road. I want to, there is difference between bike ways, motorcycle ways, and car ways. Don’t forget to make pavement for pedestrians. If government accepts my opinion, the way on the road will be more safety.

Sixth, we need many restaurants and coffee shops in Semarang. That will be a culture for Semarang. Those places will be very important for us, to relax our minds and hang out with friends. I won’t people smoke around that places. I really hate smoke, but it is hard to stop people smoking. Maybe we can make some “smoking rooms”. And I want a maximum efficient. Guard should be obvious on it.
